About LOLA
LOLA exists to create safer, more supportive communities for neurodivergent individuals and the families who love them.

The story
LOLA, aka Love Over Labels Advocacy was started in 2024 by Meagan Tehseldar (founder and director). It was created after Meagan's daughter Stella was diagnosed with autism in 2021. Having worked in education and advocacy her whole life, Meagan realized that the world is not always built to protect and support our neurodivergent children. With this came the introduction of the Blue Envelope Program and LOLA's work with local law enforcement. At it's core, LOLA is about advocacy. It began as a space to advocate for Stella, then it grew to advocacy in schools, and here we are years later, advocating in every space you can think of. From speaking at the Texas state capitol, to educating local law enforcement, and even hosting annual retreats for caregivers, LOLA fights to make every space more aware and inclusive for our autistic community. Want to help us so we can keep helping others?
